Fosters latest development project in central Hamilton, Union Square is changing the face of Hamilton’s CBD and will be a notable business hub for the Waikato region.
Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) will join other blue-chip organisations such as Rabobank and AA Insurance Service Centre, BBO and Baker Tilly Staples Rodway, by moving its operation to the last of the office spaces currently available in the recently completed Building F.
As one of New Zealand’s leading investment advisory firms, Craigs has 19 offices across New Zealand and has been based in Hamilton for over 26 years. Craigs Investment Adviser Stuart Anderson and Area Manager Hayley Nelson note that they began searching for a new premises in the CBD back in 2018.
“Our current premises have served us well but with a team of over 35 advisers and assistants we need more space to accommodate further growth” explains Stuart.
“Our team is passionate about supporting the local communities in which we live and operate. We are actively involved with a range of community organisation and charities and provide regular educational seminars from our offices – our aim being to develop a ‘centre of excellence’ for investing.”
“We want to do more community-focused activity, so having extra space will enable us to step up our involvement with charitable organisations in a variety of ways.”
Level 2 of Building F, on the corner of Anglesea and Hood Streets, provides the perfect location and a good amount of space.
“Union Square already has great community profile” Stuart continues. “Being here will help us raise the flag for Craigs and show the Waikato the strength of our brand and our long-term commitment to the Hamilton CBD.”
Hayley adds that whilst the Hamilton team have well established relationships in Hamilton and Cambridge, the team works right across the region, from Pukekohe in the north, Raglan to the west, Coromandel to the east and Taumarunui to the south. With that, their community involvement – supporting education, welfare, health, sport, and the arts – is extensive.
Craigs have fully embraced Fosters’ vision of creating a business hub that will encourage business back to Hamilton’s CBD.
“We can clearly see the future of this precinct,” says Stuart, “and the future development of the south end of town as the new Waikato Regional Theatre takes shape. Combined with the unique people-focused experience that Fosters are creating, it makes for an attractive proposition for our business, our staff, and our clients.

With the fitout consent now in place and the works scheduled to commence in the coming days, the company is anticipating moving in early March 2023.
