Ben Langley has been appointed to the role of group general manager – airport operations at Waikato Regional Airport Ltd (WRAL).
Ben, most recently chief executive at Ardmore Flying School in Auckland, has enjoyed an aviation career spanning 15 years in both strategic and operational management and leadership roles.
His skills include strategy, operations, change management, health and safety, human resources, legal, financial governance and business development, with a strong employee and customer focus.
Since gaining his commercial pilot license in 2008, Ben has held several senior flying and ground-based roles, from instructing and operations in Christchurch, to an aviation leadership and training role at Nelson Marlborough Institute and his own consulting and project management company in Wellington.
He worked as a commercial pilot for Sounds Air before becoming head of training at Ardmore and progressing through to general manager and finally chief executive.
Prior to the commencement of his aviation career, Ben held senior leadership roles across varying sectors, including tourism, hospitality, entertainment, FMCG and education.
