Latin America base
Shoof International opened a warehousing and office facility last month in Osorno, Chile, a key agricultural centre in the country’s Los Lagos region and on a similar latitude to the Waikato, where Shoof has its headquarters.

Farewell to Alan
A memorial service for former Waipā mayor and Waikato Regional Council chair Alan Livingston was held at Don Rowlands Centre, Lake Karāpiro last month with more than 600 people from around the region present. Photos: Mary Anne Gill

One of the speakers was Sport Waikato chief executive Matthew Cooper who spoke of Alan Livingston’s contribution to the organisation as a trustee.

Ngāti Korokī -Kahuhura Trust co-chair Rahui Papa – who described Alan Livingston as “a bloody good bloke” leaves the stage, watched by Alan Livingston’s family and former Prime Minister Helen Clark, having announced a kiwi called ‘Big Al’ will move from Maungatautari to Wellington’s Zealandia.

Family portraits and memories greeted mourners at the Don Rowlands Centre entrance.

Taupō MP and Cabinet Minister Louise Upston was one of several speakers who praised Alan Livingston’s legacy and hard work. She is watched by celebrant Kay Gregory.
