Enlighten Designs announced it has been named a finalist of Power BI 2022 Microsoft Partner of the Year Award. The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
“Being a runner-up for the 2022 Partner of the Year Award is an achievement we are extremely proud of. It recognises the work we do to improve digital storytelling and data journalism using Power BI and the strides we have made in expanding our sphere of influence. Our expertise working with data and Power BI has resulted in Enlighten Designs becoming Microsoft’s trusted partner to deliver the global Modern Data Journalism Program.
“We enjoy what we do and work hard to get results so to be recognised for this accolade is something we’ll cherish and celebrate. We’re proud to be working in the Microsoft partner ecosystem to make complex data more accessible, interesting and compelling for our Power BI clients,” says Enlighten Designs Founder & Chief Executive Damon Kelly.
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year. Awards were classified in various categories, with honourees chosen from a set of more than 3,900 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide. Enlighten Designs was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services in bringing data to life with Power BI.
Enlighten partners with multiple global organisations, facilitating, training, and empowering them to leverage the full capabilities of Power BI across numerous geographies and verticals. Enlighten’s client portfolio includes non-profits working to fight poverty, manufacturers tasked with ensuring on-site worker safety, charities working for the environment, and large health care, among many others. With their scalable, repeatable process of education and empowerment for each client, Enlighten helps to unlock the power of Power BI for the benefit of all stakeholders.
As part of the Modern Data Journalism Program, Enlighten Designs work closely with media organisations to harness Power BI and uncover data to create impactful stories. Most recently, these included a visualisation that revealed that nine girls between the ages of 12 and 17 are reported missing in Mexico every day. Enlighten Designs also helped the Yakima Herald to uncover the stories of murdered and missing indigenous people of the Yakama Reservation, in a project called ‘The Vanished’.
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards acknowledge outstanding successes and innovations by partners in over 100 countries and in a wide variety of categories, including partner competencies, cloud to edge technologies, entrepreneurial spirit and social impact.
