September 2021 saw the launch and re-brand of Riverside Adventures Waikato. Riverside Adventures Waikato can be found on Horahora Road, with a beautiful river side spot on the edge of Lake Karapiro.
You may have known this family-owned business as Lake District Adventures run by Steve and Sally Hastie, along with Sally’s parents Mike and Ann Paget. With an impending move of location (just down the road!) it was necessary to refine their branding which better reflects who they are and the adventures they provide.
Riverside Adventures Waikato certainly encapsulates this and as the new logo shows, key landscapes features have been intertwined into the design, bridging the divide from the land to river flowing through the illustration. Unique, just like a fingerprint.
Same tours, same team – new name and a new look with some very exciting new service offerings on the horizon for 2022. In October, the Waikato Business News featured Riverside Adventures Waikato and their authentic outdoor experiences. Applauding this locally-owned company and their business strategy towards local tourism in a setting and sector we all know has suffered through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Riverside Adventures Waikato have options to keep the whole family entertained. Guided Kayak and Bike tours with the incredible Twilight Glow worm Kayak Tour being the ‘jewel in the crown’. The Horahora Road location is ideal for access to the Waikato River Trails and our shuttle service can also provide transport options along the Hauraki Rail Trail and the Te Awa River Ride. Don’t have the gear? No problem – Riverside Adventures Waikato have it all available to hire.
