In his inaugural Waikato Business News column he tells them to either get on board when it comes to boosting productivity and research and development, or get out the way. Last month’s results: Should Hamilton City Council put an unelected Maori representative on each of its standing committees to improve representation?

Waikato Business News readers strongly oppose the move. A total of 84% of respondents said “No, they haven’t been properly elected” while just 16% voted “Yes, we need some Māori voice on council.”
